The Ottomans start with cheaper, fast-moving units designed to harass enemy camps and disrupt their economy. As you focus on building your own economy, you can deploy more expensive, hard-hitting gunpowder units. While your opponent is preoccupied with fending off your cheaper forces, you can advance your slower gunpowder units to the front, bombarding their capital. The Ottomans also possess abilities that allow you to quickly redeploy defeated units, creating a relentless wave of attacks to wear down your opponent.

They unite under the banner of Fâtih Sultan Mehmed II, also known as Mehmed the Conqueror, who brought an end to the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, ushering the Ottoman Empire into a Golden Age.
